First step into manhood? Most likely not

Posted by shiokenstar on July 22, 2008

Haha, today I shaved my chin hair and my moustach. This was a first fo rme. I am a person who dislikes having facial hair, but I always have to wait until said facial hairs grow about a bit and then I get it waxed off.

Yes, you read that right, haha. I get my facial hairs waxed off. My mom if one of those people who believe that shaving makes the hair grow back dark/stronger/more/faster/etc. My mom is also a beauty salon worker. I think the term is beautician, but I not really quite sure. Anywho, getting a wax hurts haha. Hot wax is firstly applied, then a strip of cloth. You can feel the tension of the person pulling of the cloth strip build just before the strip is ripped off your face, causing a swift stinging pain. You get used to it, but you never really get used to trying to loosen up to reduce the pain or the heat of the wax.

Anyways, first experience with shaving: not the cleanest shave ever, but I may give up waxing due to this. It’s a lot faster than waxing, and you don’t have to deal with really, really raw skin afterwards. Plus, to remove residual wax or if your skin is a but more hurt than usual there’s these oils/lotions that my mom has to deal with it, except it feels really, really weird ot have them on your skin haha. Also, shaving is a one person job whereas waing yourself on your face is near impossible (or at least it seems that way to me).

And no, I didn’t do the Home Alone-style slap my face with aftershave and scream. I just skipped the aftershave. My brother prefers not to even use shaving cream, just water, but I’m not that hardcore haha. I cut my lip too; small cuts but on both the upper and lower lips. I appears as though I’ve made some kind of lifelong commitment though. My brother warned me about razor burn, where by shaving only every now and again your skin gets super irritated because it never gets used to shaving. He says that by shaving everyday though, you prevent razor burn because eventually your skin toughens up due to being exposed to a blade every day. Not a very comforting concept. Also, my mom says that now my hair will keep growing super fast, and that I will also have to shave everyday if I want to keep it under control. Does this mean that shaving your facial hair once opens the gateway to ZZ Top beards? Let’s hope not.

Too many myths about shaving, not enough facts, haha. Only time will tell what happens.

SO MUCH MANA

Posted by shiokenstar on July 17, 2008

So yeah, following off of the older post, I am here to write about my experiences with the Mana Potion. Holy hell, hahaha 5 hours of energy never felt so like, bad. I chugged down the potion at break today, roughly around 10:30, and I didn’t feel the effects until about 5 mins after break, but I was wide awake. O.O eyes, almost completely open.

It’s not the kind of energy you would normally get from sugar or caffine: not hyped up, not shaking. It was just like, you were wide awake and had tremendous focus. I tried to close my eyes and lay down on my desk after I finsihed the class work, but I felt realy umcomfortable just sitting there, doing nothing. I swear, I shut my eyes, put my head down, and thought, “This doesn’t feel right.” Haha, I couldn’t believe it, I was so tired the first half of the class, but now I was wide awake with nothing to do.

I decided to listen to some music since I didn’t feel like resting, and I found myself mouthing the words. In class. I seriously needed to use up this energy. Not hyper, but you just feel like you don’t need rest. Oh man this stuff is hardcore. its been over 5 hours now, and I do feel a bit tired. That might be just due to summer school or there is an energy crash, contrary to what it says on their website. Or maybe I’m tired from focusing too much on pretty much nothing, hahaha. But damn, I could feel it.

Dustin brought his to school as well, and on impulse he chugged his with me. After class we both said someting along the lines of, “Oh my effing god, I was wide awake the whole time.” But anyways, I’m nut sure I’d drink it ever again, unless I had to pull an all-nighter for something. Something, really, really effing big, haha.

The good thing is, the bottle looks rad and you can fill it up with other kinds of juice to give the appearance of different potions, haha.

Yes, I have my mana pot.

Posted by shiokenstar on July 16, 2008

Yesterday, after school Dustin, Derek, David, and I went out to Fries Electronics to get Dustin a new keyboard and David a webcam. Details aside, as we where leaving there were these energy drinks that were just way too damn awesoem to pass up. Mana Potions. I kid you not, mana potions. 1.69 fl oz that give +160 to you mana hahahaha. It said the +160 on the box that the potions were in. It gives 5-8 HOURS of energy. Holy crap on a cracker, hahaha that’s insane. Also, it guareented no crash afterwards, just like the 5-Hour energy shot thing you see on tv. David decided to buy out of impulse, but he has yet to drink it. Today, we went back to Fries Electronics so that David could return the webcam to get a new, possibly high quality one. The one he returned and the new one he got were both 1.3 megapixel, but the new one is “Skype certified” or something along those lines, haha. Probably on an impulse buy, David bought 6 more of these mana potions, “three for himself and one for each of us”.

Can you imagine it? This tiny thing offers 5-8 hours of energy. The worst is yet to come.

Haha, in the bottom right hand side, underneath the barcode, it says, “Phenylketonurics: Contains phenylalanine. Not for use by mortals under 16 years of age.” That’s right you lesser beings, under 16 mortals stay away.

Also, you notice under my thumb, that 6667% of something? That my friends, is 400 mcg of Vitamin b12. That is 6667% percent of your daily recommended amount of vitamin b12. Haha, oh my god isn’t that insane?

Further more, it has a strong taste. I had like, 1/5 of the cap full and thought, “Whoa, this tastes liek liquid Skittles or something”. It was definitely fruity. I had a bit more, and it tasted super storng. Holy crap, it was like drinking syrup, except that it didn’t have the texture. Tomorrow, during the break in between classes, I’m going to chug the rest of the Mana Potion haha, just to see what happens. Oh man, I can’t even imagine.

Funniest thing about it ever that needs some explaination. Mana Potions, Health Potions, and any potion in general really, is shortened to “pot”, pronounced like flower pot, or even a bag of pot. You didn’t read that wrong, haha. Yes, I typed that. Why? Because, as I was getting out David’s car (he dropped me off today) Derek called out after asking me if I had my “pot”. I said, “Yeah, it’s in my bag.” Just as someone walks by. He gives me a really weird stare, and I can’t figure out why. That is, until I realize that he must have thought “bag of pot” instead of “mana pot”. Hahaha, oh man what a weird misunderstanding. Oh, how the gaming and internet culture have seemed to have failed me. Let’s hope no rumors spread, hahaha.

Lol, within mintues of the last post.

Posted by shiokenstar on July 10, 2008

Haha, I was able to dig up those pictures I mentioned in the last post.

Here’s the Fanime 2004 Iori cosplay one

seen at this website -> http://www.usagichan3.com/Fanime2004/cosplay067.htm

And the Evergreen Times one that was once first page results of a Google image search. Turns out I was half wrong about seeing my face and wrong about the red hair. :p

AS seen here -> http://www.evergreentimes.com/072905/esd_news.htm

Hooray, now I don’t think I’ll end up losing these pictures anymore! Although, I wish I could Google search them instead of having to try to remember website names and digging through archieves.
