I still have a job…

But in other news, I’ll be missing another day of work for Freshman Orientation at UC Davis. Also, I may or may not get around to actually using my Facebook. Oh yeah, a few days ago I managed to have a lucid dream. In the dream I was walking down the sidewalk when I see a bunch of people having a picnic on the lawn of this house on my block. I think to myself, “Wait a minute, those people would never do anything like that. Could this be a dream? I better get out my phone and check.” The reason behind that of course, is that if you dial a number to call someone, you would end up reaching somebody else. It’s sort of how in a dream if you turn off the light switch the lights won’t turn off. Anyways, in dream I pull out my phone, only to see that it’s not the Motorola Razor I’ve had all these years. I immediately think, “yup this is a dream” and to prove it, I consciously transform the phone into a camera and take a picture of my shoes. Only after the flash, I was barefooted. I was about to give myself shoes again when I woke up. Hahaha, kooky, no?

I may be in danger of losing my job

Yup. So this is what normally happens for a work day: one of managers would call me and let me know what days I would be working for the week. Since I first started working, I could expect a phone call sometime Monday or Tuesday and my manager would let me know what days I was scheduled. One week, they even called to let me know that I had the week off.

This week however, I recieved no such call. I found this weird, especially considering that I finally started getting 3 shifts a week, as opposed to the 2 I started with. Slowly, as the days passed I began to wonder what the hell was up. I mean, if I didn’t show up wouldn’t they call me to chew me out about my absence? So today being a paycheck day, I stopped by after going out to lunch with my sister Elaine and my latest brother-in-law Thien -they got married the 4th of July. I know I should have made a post for that, but I was busy and tired. Anyways, while there I went to check the schedule that they post, and lo-and-behold, I am schedule to work Monday, Thursday, and Sunday of this week. Yes, I have already missed 2 days. There’s something about how being late too many times or not calling in about absences can cause you to be fired, but I can’t rememberthe exact rules about that.

To make mattes worse, around last Sunday my cell phone deleted all my contacts, meaning I lost the number to my managers. So the thing only thing I can do now is show up to work Sunday, explain my absenses, and pray that my ass isn’t fired. <.<
